Description
Passive Ultra-Low Temperature Protection for Portable & Remote ULT Storage
Stirling Ultraguard™ sealed PCM bricks are engineered to extend ultra-low temperature (ULT) holdover time when power is unavailable—providing an added layer of protection for high-value biological samples, clinical trial materials, and temperature-sensitive assets.
Each Ultraguard brick is filled with non-toxic, -70°C Phase Change Material (PCM), specifically designed to deliver up to 8 hours of passive ULT temperature protection when properly conditioned and placed inside a Stirling Ultracold ULT25NEU portable ULT freezer. When applied correctly, Ultraguard™ bricks may also extend temperature holdover time in other ULT freezers, making them a flexible, reusable cold chain solution.
Hold the Cold — Even Without Power
Stirling Ultraguard™ is designed to safeguard critical samples when:
-
Electric power is unavailable or unexpectedly lost
-
Operating in remote or rural locations without stable infrastructure
-
Transporting temperature-sensitive materials over limited distances
-
Replacing dry ice with a safer, reusable alternative
By combining Ultraguard™ PCM bricks with the ULT25NEU, laboratories and healthcare providers can extend ULT storage virtually anywhere—regardless of power availability, infrastructure limitations, or dry ice access.
Key Benefits of Stirling Ultraguard™ PCM Bricks
