Description
The Across International R10ex Explosion-Proof Jacketed Glass Reactor is engineered for chemical reactions that require precise temperature control, vacuum operation, and safe operation in hazardous environments. Designed with explosion-proof electrical components, the R10ex reactor system allows safe use with flammable solvents such as ethanol, hexane, acetone, and methanol.
This reactor system includes an explosion-proof motor, controller, and power management system built in the United States and PSI peer reviewed for use in C1D1 environments. The jacketed borosilicate glass vessel enables precise temperature control through recirculating heating or cooling fluids, while the integrated condenser allows efficient vapor condensation and solvent recovery.
With adjustable stirring speeds, PTFE-sealed components, and a heavy-duty stainless steel support structure, the R10ex is ideal for laboratory synthesis, solvent recovery, pharmaceutical research, and cannabis extraction processing.
What Does Explosion-Proof Mean?
Explosion-proof equipment is designed to prevent internal sparks or explosions from igniting flammable gases or vapors in the surrounding environment.
In explosion-proof equipment:
-
Electrical components are enclosed in specialized housings
-
Internal explosions are contained within the enclosure
-
Sparks or heat generated inside cannot ignite surrounding gases
Explosion-proof equipment does not mean the device can survive an external explosion. Instead, it prevents ignition sources inside the equipment from causing a larger explosion in hazardous environments.
