The Across International Ai P12A Peristaltic Pump is a high-capacity positive displacement pump designed for precise fluid transfer, dosing, and continuous laboratory pumping applications. Also referred to as a roller pump, this system moves liquids through flexible tubing using rotating rollers that compress and release the tube in a controlled process known as peristalsis.
Because the fluid remains fully contained within the tubing, the pump ensures contamination-free fluid handling, making it ideal for laboratory research, chemical processing, pharmaceutical production, and industrial fluid transfer applications.
The Ai P12A delivers flow rates up to 12 liters per minute (3.2 gallons per minute) and features adjustable speeds up to 600 RPM with 0.1 RPM precision, allowing for accurate control of fluid movement. The system includes a large color LCD touchscreen controller that allows users to configure pump speed, distribution cycles, timers, and dosing intervals with ease.
Equipped with auto-sensing voltage (110–230V) and a high-capacity Y35 pump head supporting tubing sizes up to 3/4 inch, the Ai P12A provides powerful and flexible fluid pumping for both manual lab setups and automated PLC-controlled systems.
How Peristaltic Pumps Work
Peristaltic pumps move fluids through flexible tubing using rotating rollers that compress the tubing against the pump housing. As the rotor rotates, the rollers push the trapped fluid forward through the tube while preventing backflow.
Once the tubing returns to its natural shape, it draws additional fluid into the line. This peristaltic action, similar to processes used in biological systems such as the digestive tract, creates a smooth and controlled pumping cycle.
