Description
The Across International HP9 Digital Heated Magnetic Stirrer is a high-performance laboratory hot plate stirrer designed for precise temperature control and efficient magnetic mixing. By generating a rotating magnetic field beneath the heating surface, the unit spins a PTFE-coated stir bar inside glass vessels to create uniform liquid agitation without mechanical contact.
Magnetic stirrers are widely used in chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical research, and laboratory testing because they offer quiet operation, low maintenance, and minimal contamination risk compared to mechanical stirring systems.
The HP9 model features PID digital temperature control, adjustable stirring speeds up to 2000 RPM, and a large 9-inch ceramic-coated aluminum heating plate capable of reaching temperatures up to 350°C. With a maximum stirring capacity of 1.5 gallons, this model is ideal for larger laboratory mixing and heating applications.

Advantages of Magnetic Stirring
Magnetic stirrers are commonly used in laboratories because they offer several advantages:
-
Quiet operation
-
Minimal maintenance
-
No exposed moving parts
-
Easy cleaning and sterilization
-
Reduced contamination risk
Since glass does not interfere with magnetic fields, stir bars work efficiently in beakers, flasks, and laboratory reaction vessels.
Magnetic stirrers are ideal for:
-
Chemical reactions
-
Biological experiments
-
Pharmaceutical preparation
-
Laboratory solution mixing
-
Sample preparation
For larger volumes or highly viscous liquids, mechanical stirring systems may be required.
