Description
The Across International HP7 Digital Heated Magnetic Stirrer is a laboratory hot plate stirrer designed for precise heating and efficient magnetic mixing in research and laboratory environments. Using a rotating magnetic field, the unit spins a PTFE-coated stir bar inside glass vessels to create consistent, uniform mixing without mechanical contact.
Magnetic stirrers are commonly used in chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical, and research laboratories because they are quiet, low maintenance, and highly efficient compared to mechanical stirring systems.
The HP7 features a digital PID temperature controller, adjustable stirring speeds up to 2000 RPM, and a ceramic-coated aluminum heating plate capable of reaching temperatures up to 350°C. Its larger 7-inch heating surface allows for mixing larger volumes than standard compact magnetic stirrers.
With a maximum stirring capacity of 3.8 liters (1 gallon), the HP7 is ideal for laboratory solution preparation, chemical reactions, sample mixing, and general laboratory heating applications.

Advantages of Magnetic Stirring
Magnetic stirrers are widely used in laboratory environments because they offer:
-
Quiet operation
-
Minimal maintenance
-
No exposed mechanical components
-
Easy cleaning and sterilization
-
Reduced contamination risk
Because glass does not interfere with magnetic fields, stir bars operate efficiently inside beakers, laboratory flasks, and reaction vessels.
Magnetic stirrers are best suited for:
-
Small to medium-volume experiments
-
Chemical solution mixing
-
Biological sample preparation
-
Laboratory heating and reaction control
For larger volumes or highly viscous liquids, mechanical stirring systems may be required.
