The Ai BC-3F 3 Ft Class II Type A2 Biosafety Cabinet is a NSF/ANSI 49 certified biological safety cabinet designed to safely handle potentially infectious materials while protecting laboratory personnel, sensitive samples, and the surrounding environment.
A biosafety cabinet (BSC)—also known as a biological safety cabinet or microbiological safety cabinet—is an enclosed, ventilated laboratory workstation used when working with biological materials contaminated with or potentially contaminated by pathogens requiring a defined biosafety level.
The primary purpose of a biosafety cabinet is to protect the laboratory worker and environment from harmful pathogens. The Ai Class II Type A2 cabinet uses dual HEPA filtration and controlled laminar airflow to capture bacteria, viruses, and airborne contaminants before the air exits the unit.
Unlike laminar flow clean benches that blow unfiltered air toward the user, this biosafety cabinet filters all exhaust air through HEPA filters, making it suitable for microbiology research, pharmaceutical laboratories, virology testing, and COVID-19 specimen handling.

Operating Procedure
Before Use

Fully close the front glass panel.

Activate the UV light for 30 minutes to disinfect the chamber.

Leave the room during the sterilization cycle.

Raise the glass panel to the recommended opening height.

Turn on airflow circulation for 10 minutes before beginning work.
After Use

Close the front glass panel.

Turn on the UV sterilization light for another 30 minutes for decontamination.
Biosafety Cabinet Usage Guidelines
To ensure safe operation:
• Do not use flammable or explosive materials
• Avoid volatile chemicals that could damage HEPA filters
• Do not introduce toxic chemical vapors
• Open flames are prohibited because they disrupt airflow patterns
• Only small quantities (≤10 mL) of disinfectant alcohol should be used
